Drink up! 2006 Porter Creek Syrah
I bought this bottle a few years ago after a trip to Guerneville for Gay Retreat. I couldn't remember what it was like, but tonight was the night to find out. At first, I was underwhelmed. This wine had no depth, no complexity, no body. Why had I purchased it?!
Then I let it breathe. Ah, there's the good stuff. It completely changed character over the course of 20 minutes. Now that's a good glass of vino.
