Have you heard of Lala.com?
I'll admit that I'm intrigued. You can buy access to songs and albums for 10 cents per song (or cheaper for whole albums). Push Barman to Open Old Wounds, for example, can be "purchased" for $2.50. The idea is that many people listen to music online now (especially at work), so this gives us access to over 6 million songs without having to shell out iTunes prices and worrying about portability.
