BBQ in the B'East?

Yes, it's true. I spent a few hours outside the protective bubble of San Francisco yesterday, attending a BBQ in Lafayette--the East Bay--the B'East. Luckily, no one (read: me) was hurt. It was warm and I ate three desserts. Then I played badminton. Then I had a coronary.

All in all, a good time was had by the bunch that gathered. Thanks to Rachel for hosting (and for the pies!!)
